Food is an important part of Vaishnava culture, with cooking is considered one of the fine arts. Since Vaishnavas are natural vegetarians and their culture is Eastern, their cuisine contains an abundance of spiced vegetable dishes and exotic flavors.

As in many cultures, cooking is an important part of Vaishnava hospitality – as anyone will know who has visited a Vaishnava place (especially during festivals).

Srila Prabhupada also loved to cook. He used his considerable culinary skills to make delicious preparations for the visitors who came to see him and also taught others how to cook.

For all programs, especially on Saturday Evenings & various Festivals, we provide sumptuous feasts to all devotees.

You are heartily welcome to enjoy all of them with programs attached with 🙂

Please contact us if you want to sponsor any of them.

Saturday Prasadam : 350 sg$

Sunday Prasadam: 200 sg$

Dear Devotees,

Dandavats, All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
In vision cum-passion to share the joy of performing service together, GRS offers below course of developing inter-personal relations !

As we are aware, in Gauranga Centre, each week-end we prepare feast for devotees. We need to form teams of 4 devotees each to take care of below items:

Saturday Evening: Rice / Dahl / Subji for 140 devotees ( 4 – 6.30 pm)
Sunday Morning: Khichadi & Papad for 70 devotees ( 9 – 10 am)
Each team / individual can participate once a month / more frequently, depending on availability & enthusiasm of devotees.

Since our centre kitchen involves bit heavy equipment for mass cooking, more Prabhu’s are encouraged to jump in.
This is an excellent opportunity for Prabhu’s to learn the inner secrets of vegetarian kingdom & reduce dependency!
You can even treat them as team-building, delectable sessions or live cooking classes.
At last, even if you can join at end, for final session of vessel cleaning, it’ll also be great help.

Thus we appeal to every dynamic devotee who can spare some time on week-ends for this noble service,
please step forward & contribute in terms of your culinary skills (Mataji’s) & muscle power (Prabhu’s).

Please contact Swayam Prakash das ( +65 82335573 ) for more details.

Pure food, sanctified by offering to Lord, destined to nourish spiritual intelligence of whoever prepares & honours it.

yat karoshi yad asnasi, yaj juhoshi dadasi yat

yat tapasyasi kaunteya, tat kurushva mad-arpanam

Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform – do that, O son of Kunti, as an offering to Me.
